Reform!

Taxes! Taxes! Taxes!

Yes. Yes, I know that taxes are needed. Needed to pave our roads, pay our teachers, police officers, and firefighters. Needed to bail out AIG, pay illegal immigrants fair share, and give food stamps, disability and health care to those who do not want to work (make sure you understand...that I stated "those who do not want to work"). Of course! But enough is enough.

I am tired of taxes. Owning a small business and having to give 15% social security (which I will never see my portion) and 15% income AND 8.25% sales tax is crazy!

The more you make the more you pay. It is more like "the more you make the more you pay to benefit others."

I have been preaching to my economic students for years that it is time to reform our current tax system. My suggestion a higher sales tax. So do away with income tax and go to a straight sales tax. Fair. Simple. And easy to understand!

(is it too late to make fake social security numbers for my Henry & Sara...I could use them as dependents)

Happy Tax Day.
