Most Utahans do not suggest "The Great Salt Lake" as a must see tourist attraction. Weird. I found this very odd especially since Salt Lake City is named after the "Great Salt Lake?"
from encyclopedia.com...
{Salt Lake City, Utah/USA Great Salt Lake City Founded in 1847 by Mormons as a place of safety from religious persecution. Located near the south‐eastern corner of the Great Salt Lake, it was named after the lake. ‘Great’ was dropped in 1868.}
Dear History, I am keeping the "Great" in The Salt Lake. Everyone knows that adding the word "great" makes everything better!
Anyways, Josh and I had to see "The GREAT Salt Lake" for ourselves. Even though we only visited a small portion of the lake, I found it to be visually appealing. Utahans, you need to jazz up this area of Utah. Make it a must see!

Olympic Park
The Utah Olympic Park is located north of Park City, Utah and east of Salt Lake City. During the 2002 Winter Olympics it served as the venue for Nordic Jumping events and sliding events including Bobsled, Skeleton, and Luge. It still serves an active training center year round for Olympic and development level athletes. Other facilities in addition to the Nordic Jumps and Bobsled Track located on site include a 2002 Winter Olympics Museum, Ski Museum, summer aerial training splash pool, ziplines, and mountain coaster.
Park City, Utah
Several Utahans suggested Park City as a must see. I totally agree!
http://parkcity.org
Long before Park City became a world class mountain resort and venue for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, it was famous as a silver mining town, and boasts a lively and colorful past. Founded by prospectors in the late 1860's, Park City continued to mine silver until the early 1970's. The mining company, Park City Consolidated Mines, started the ski business in 1963, when they built the first lifts on what was then called Treasure Mountain. The Park City area now has three world class resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Resort, and the Canyons Resort.

To the Next Level
I am hurriedly packing. Which--probably means that I am not doing too hot of a job. I am probably one of the worst packers in the whole world. I pack way too much. I make a checklist. I check it off. AND then I keep going. Why? I have no idea.
Tomorrow I leave for Salt Lake City, Utah! On Saturday I will be attending photography mentoring session with Angie Monson.
I am ready to take my photography business to the next level!
{I will be out of the office Thursday, February 25th - Monday, March 1st}

Rush Immunotheraphy, where have you been?
I was excited for my follow up visit/CT scan with Dr. Somerville & Dr. Cooley-O'Brien today. I was excited because my face was hurting. Yes my eyes, cheeks, jaw, etc. Every part of my face hurt!
I am so tired of living with allergies and asthma!
The Dr. suggested allergy shots (once again). I was honest. Been there done that. I have tried allergy shots THREE times. Three times of testing, three times of attempting to reach maintenance dose level--and all three times I failed. Finding the time to drive an hour there, an hour back and 30 minutes of waiting...three times a week! That is impossible.
Dr. Cooley-O'Brien discussed the importance of what the allergy shots will give me--relief. And then she said the perfect words...RUSH IMMUNOTHERAPY!
After reading the literature she sent home and searching/reading web page after web page...I ask "why aren't all allergy suffers doing this?" Four/five months worth of allergy shots in one day! How perfect!
I have to have allergy testing, again. Get my asthma under control and then I can sign up!
If you suffer from allergies and asthma research rush immunotheraphy---sounds like relief! R-e-l-i-e-f! I am SUPER excited!

River
I love, love, love photographing kids and babies! Their sweet nature, innocent eyes and beautiful words melts my heart. River is such a cutie! I met sweet River back in October when I photographed her moms wedding.
River, you made my day. Thanks for being such a sweet little girl. {River sat patiently while we photographed her sisters newborn session}

Happy Valentine's Day
To some Ellis Island is the symbol of American immigration and the immigrant experience to others it is a money making venture.
For $25 we purchased the rights to two photos (the same photography--one in black and white and the other in sepia). Once an original photograph of immigrants has turned into a Valentine's Day laughter for others. Crazy!
Of course Ellis Island was much more than a quick photo op to make people later laugh. The building itself was remarkable. Beautiful. I was able to walk the corridors of the very place my grandmother once stood as an immigrant.

My Beautiful Henry
Henry is very much interested in the outdoors. In fact so interested that if he gets a chance he tries to sneak out.
Unfortunately he has not had many opportunities to visit his favorite place, the backyard, due to the cold weather. However, today the beautiful sun glowing in the evening sky was too welcoming.
